MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-State Athletics announced a new five-year contract for women’s basketball head coach Jeff Mittie, extending his tenure through the 2028-29 season. The agreement was approved by the K-State Athletics, Inc., Board of Directors.
Mittie, who led the team to its fifth NCAA Tournament bid and eighth overall postseason appearance, has built a strong program at K-State. Under his guidance, the Wildcats have a 190-135 record, including four 20-win seasons. Mittie is close to reaching the 200-win milestone at K-State, needing just 10 more victories.
“We are excited about the future of the program,” Mittie said. “Our players continue to excel on and off the court. We have great momentum going into this season.”
Entering his 11th season with K-State, Mittie has the second-most NCAA Tournament appearances and victories in the program’s history. He has also mentored numerous All-Big 12 and All-American players.
The Wildcats return 10 letter winners for the 2024-25 season, including standout center Ayoka Lee and senior guard Serena Sundell.
