K-State Volleyball Falls to BYU in Season Finale

Kansas State ended its regular season with a four-set loss to BYU on Senior Day at Morgan Family Arena. BYU won the match 25-17, 18-25, 25-21, 25-17.

The Wildcats recorded 56 kills compared to 43 for BYU, but the Cougars’ defense held K-State to a .175 hitting percentage with 15 team blocks. BYU finished with a .197 hitting percentage and 11 service aces.

Aliyah Carter led K-State with 15 kills and 12 digs, marking the 33rd double-double of her career. Izzi Szulczewski added 49 assists and 10 digs for her 14th double-double of the season. Jayce Brown contributed 11 kills with a .625 hitting percentage, while Ella Larkin posted 25 digs.

BYU’s Kjersti Strong led her team with 10 kills, and Brielle Kemavor tallied eight blocks.

K-State finishes the season 10-17 overall and 8-10 in Big 12 play. Before the match, the Wildcats honored six seniors: Meg Brown, Aliyah Carter, Liz Gregorski, Ella Larkin, Molly Ramsey, and Izzi Szulczewski.
