MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-State women’s basketball has been recognized on the WBCA Academic Honor Roll for the 2023-24 season. The Wildcats were among nine Big 12 programs to receive this honor.
Under head coach Jeff Mittie, the team achieved a GPA of 3.281, earning Special Mention honors for the third consecutive year.
K-State led the Big 12 with eight Academic All-Big 12 honors, and received two CSC Academic All-District citations and one CSC Academic All-American First Team member, Ayoka Lee, during the 2023-24 season.
In Mittie’s 10 seasons, K-State has earned 59 Academic All-Big 12 citations, five Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards, 12 Big 12 Academic All-Rookie Team honorees, and five CSC Academic All-Americans.
The Wildcats return 10 letter winners, including four starters from last season’s NCAA Tournament team. The team will be led by Ayoka Lee, senior guard Sundell, and seniors Brylee Glenn and Jaelyn Glenn. New additions include transfers Temira Poindexter and Kennedy Taylor, redshirts Mikayla Parks and Alexis Hess, and freshman Finley Ohnstad.
