Kansas State introduced Colleen Corbin as the second head coach in the history of its soccer program during a press conference Thursday at the Vanier Family Football Complex. Corbin brings coaching experience from Oregon State, Wyoming, and St. Louis, where she contributed to successful programs as a player and coach.
Director of Athletics Gene Taylor praised Corbin’s energy, leadership, and winning background, noting her ability to build strong team cultures. Corbin led Wyoming to a conference title in her second year and helped St. Louis reach the NCAA Tournament this past season.
Corbin emphasized her commitment to building relationships with her players and creating an environment of trust and growth. She highlighted K-State’s facilities and the support of the Manhattan community as key advantages for the program’s development.
Her initial focus will be connecting with current players and incoming recruits while preparing for the spring season. Corbin aims to establish a team identity and foster an environment where players are challenged and supported.
K-State looks forward to a new chapter under Corbin’s leadership, with optimism for the future of the soccer program in the competitive Big 12 Conference.
