It was an intense atmosphere as the Lady Tigers battled NCKL rival Abilene on the road. In what was expected to be a very close dual; was all that and more. The two teams would battle back and forth before the Lady Tigers claim victory on a tiebreaker 37-36. This puts the Clay Center Girls at (2-0) in NCKL action; they won by three points earlier over Chapman.
