Clay Center opened the hoops season Friday night with a 52-36 win over Riley County. Three Lady Tigers hit double digits; led by Raegann McDonald’s 14 and 10 each from Ayla Johnson and Miley McGee. Janae Crimmins 7; Lily Edwards 6; Raimee Lipker 3 and Savanah Bloomdahl 2. Clay Center jumped out early behind McGee’s three first half treys. They turned a six point lead after 3 quarters into a runaway by holding the Falcons to four points in the final period and win it 52-36. McDonald ripped down 9 boards and Edwards dished out 7 assists.
