MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State sophomore Alex Lindstrom and junior JP Roller have been named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America. This honor recognizes their academic and athletic achievements during the 2023-24 season.
Both players earned this distinction for the first time in their careers. Lindstrom and Roller participated in all 11 team events during their first seasons at K-State. Lindstrom, who transferred from Hutchinson Community College, had a 73.19 scoring average. Roller, who transferred from Texas Tech, was third on the team with a 72.68 scoring average. Lindstrom finished second at the Wildcat Invitational, and Roller tied for 10th at the Steelwood Intercollegiate.
To qualify for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, or senior, participate in 50% of their team’s competitive rounds, have a scoring average under 76.00, and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
