The injured party in an alleged May 6 assault at a Dallas nightclub, where Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is reportedly a suspect, has requested that police not file charges. Dallas police confirmed the request and noted the investigation is ongoing.
Police responded to the nightclub assault report around 2:30 a.m. on May 6. Charges have not been filed. The Dallas Morning News reported Rice as a suspect. A man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, including facial swelling.
Rice is participating in Chiefs’ offseason practices this week. He was previously arrested for his involvement in a March 30 six-car crash in Dallas, which left at least seven people injured. Rice faces charges, including aggravated assault and collisions involving serious bodily injury.
