Former K-State All-American Michael Beasley was named the 2024 BIG3 Most Valuable Player on August 16. Beasley, an 11-year NBA veteran, has led 3’s Company to a 6-2 record and a spot in the BIG3 Championship. Averaging 21.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists, Beasley leads the league in total field goals and ranks second in scoring average.
Beasley’s performance has been crucial for 3’s Company, which also features former Kansas star Mario Chalmers and is coached by 5-time NBA champion Michael Cooper. The team will face Bivouac in the BIG3 Championship on Sunday, August 18, at TD Garden in Boston. The game will be broadcast live on CBS at 2 p.m. CT.
Beasley, who was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, enjoyed a successful NBA and international career, including earning MVP honors in the Chinese Basketball Association.
