In a recent announcement, senior Tylor Perry was recognized for his academic achievements, being named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team Men’s Basketball Team. Perry, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound guard from Fort Coffee, Okla., now moves forward to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced in April. Perry’s inclusion on the Academic All-District First Team marks a notable achievement, being the first men’s basketball player to earn such recognition since 2017. Alongside this academic recognition, Perry was also named to the Honorable Mention All-Big 12 Team. Throughout the season, Perry proved his on-court prowess, starting all 34 games for K-State and averaging a team-best 15.3 points per game.
