Tiger Baseball Splits Buhler Doubleheader

A road trip to Buhler for the Tiger Baseball team resulted in a game one loss, 4-3, and a bounce-back win in game two, 15-8. Colten Tadtman went the distance in game one, giving up 4 runs, but all were unearned. Tadtman struck out 3 and walked 3. At the plate, Tigers’ hits came from Cole Pladson, Isaac Berrgren, Rylan Gurney, Jett Hayes, Jonah Ferguson, and Miller Coffman. The Tigers’ struggles at the plate with runners in scoring position and errors were costly.

It was a high-scoring second game. Coach Andy Bent said, “Our pitchers battled all game for us.” Hayden Cyr picked up the win, going 3.1 innings, allowing 3 runs and striking out 5 with 2 walks. Miller Coffman and Jacob Cutshall finished the game on the mound. Jett Hayes had 3 hits to lead the offense. Cyr had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Isaac Berggren knocked in 4 runs.

The Tigers are back in action this Thursday when they host Hays. The doubleheader can be heard live on KCLY, 100.9 FM, or the free KCLY App.
