MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State baseball secured a convincing 10-1 victory over the River Hawks at Tointon Family Stadium. Brady Day’s two home runs highlighted the offensive output, while the Wildcats’ pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts. Head coach Pete Hughes commended his team’s disciplined performance. Day’s four-hit game included a career-high five RBIs. Right-hander Andrew Evans secured his first collegiate win, holding UML to one run over three innings. K-State capitalized on scoring opportunities, hitting .400 with runners in scoring position. The win extends K-State’s streak of success, with four starters reaching base in all eight games. The Wildcats look to continue their momentum in game two on Saturday.
