Wildcats Secure 77-64 Win Behind Hausen’s Hot Shooting

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Junior Brendan Hausen scored a career-high 22 points, including six 3-pointers, as Kansas State defeated Cleveland State 77-64 on Saturday afternoon at Bramlage Coliseum.

Hausen shot 7-of-10 from the field, helping the Wildcats improve to 2-0. Seniors Coleman Hawkins and David N’Guessan each added 12 points, while Max Jones scored 11. Hawkins also tallied 5 assists, 3 steals, and 4 blocks.

K-State shot 57.8% from the field and 52.6% from three, with 16 assists on 26 made field goals. Despite 19 turnovers, the Wildcats forced 20 turnovers and recorded 12 steals, with Dug McDaniel contributing five.

K-State never trailed, leading by as many as 23 points in the second half. The Wildcats will next host LSU on Thursday at 8 p.m. Tickets are available through the K-State Athletics Ticket Office or online.
