Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad Celebrate 30 Years

For 30 years the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad has been providing visitors of Abilene a unique experience with train rides from the Historic 1887 Rock Island Depot, through the Smoky Hill River Valley to Enterprise.

As the year comes to an end the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad are celebrating the end of their 30th anniversary. With two rides yet to go on December 30th and 31st the Railroad has reported nearly 13,000 passengers in 2023, almost 2,500 more than they had in 2022.

The Railroad offers train rides on a scheduled basis throughout the season. They also include special rides including: Dinner Trains, School Trains, and Holiday Event Rides. They also give guests the option to rent out the Train for Group Events; such as weddings, birthday parties, reunions, plus much more.
