The Miltonvale Piecemakers have been creating amazing quilts for 20 plus years and donating them to the Miltonvale Chamber of Commerce now Citizens for Progress to raffle as a fund raiser for Tootlefest. This year’s quilt was created by using the “Rest & Refreshing” pattern from Piecing the Past Quilts. The quilt was awarded Reserve Grand Champion at the Clay County Fair. Many of the quilts have been hand quilted but this quilt was machine quilted by Amy Swenson. The fabric selected came from the groups stash from previous quilts. The quilt is currently on display at The First National Bank of Hope, Miltonvale Branch, where you can purchase raffle tickets. The tickets are $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00. The drawing for the quilt, 2 – 1/2 processed hog, or a beef bundle will be Saturday August 23rd during the intermission of the evening show. Gary Pratt & Co will entertain in the Tootle Park Band Shell at 7:00 p.m. Tootlefest dates are August 22nd -24th, watch for more details or follow Miltonvale Citizens for Progress on Facebook.
