The Kansas Sampler Foundation (KSF) is changing its Big Kansas Road Trip (BKRT) format from a four-day trip to a one-day pop-up trip with the goal of reaching more communities and people.
BKRT’s first pop-up trip will take place in Blue Rapids on Saturday, August 24th during its Fun Day Festival. Marci Penner, KSF Co-Director, said they talked to the Blue Rapids folks about bringing the new pop-up event to town.
Penner said visitors enjoy traveling to rural communities when they know they are expected, as the BKRT brings. Giving them insight into what living rural is all about.
