Blue Valley Technologies has recently been honored with the National Cyber Champion Award by the Rural Broadband Association. This award is given to NTCA members who have shown commitment to the protection of their networks, assets, and confidential customer data, as stated in a release. As NTCA Cyber Champions, they engage in cooperative initiatives within the cyber industry community and show dedication to the enhancement of cybersecurity protocols.
BVT presented an application showcasing its initiatives in cybersecurity. The firm received recognition at the NTCA Rural Telecom Industry Meeting + Expo (RTIME) held in February, where a video showcasing its endeavors was shown. This video is accessible for viewing on both BVT’s Facebook page and its official website.
Furthermore, the CyberShare Working Group of NTCA, an advisory panel made up of volunteer participants who meet monthly to provide insights on technical cybersecurity issues, has recently appointed Jerry Horton, BVT’s Director of Technology, as the chair of this committee.
BVT CEO, Candace Wright said, “We are honored to be recognized as a 2024 NTCA Cyber Champion. I would like to thank Jerry and the rest of the employees at both Blue Valley Technologies and Networks Plus for driving cybersecurity practices to protect our company, our customers, and our communities. Cybersecurity is a complex, multi-layered approach, and our employees have met this challenge head on by being both forward-thinking and agile.”
