Flags to be Lowered to Half-Staff in Honor of Judge Tom Mikulka

In accordance with Executive Order #20-30, Governor Laura Kelly has directed to lower flags to half-staff at the State Capitol Complex, as well as all court buildings and facilities, until Tuesday, January 16, 2024, to honor 31st District Magistrate Judge Tom Mikulka, who passed away last week.

“Judge Mikulka was a dedicated public servant who, as district magistrate judge, worked to ensure justice for the citizens of Woodson, Wilson, Allen, and Neosho Counties,” Governor Laura Kelly said in a release. “On behalf of the State of Kansas, I thank him for his service. My deepest condolences go out to his loved ones.” 

Judge Mikulka passed away on January 8, 2024, and flags will remain half-staff until he is interred on January 16, 2024, according to the release.
