Geary County Residents urged to attend Community Forum

By Ryan Duey

On Monday, March 18th, 2024, Junction City Mainstreet will be holding a Community Forum from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the Eagles. The keynote and workshop will be from Peter Kageyama, author of various books, including “For the Love of Cities” and “Love Where You Live.” Peter’s “For the Love of Cities” was a Top 10 book in 2012 in urban planning, design, and development.

Geary County residents are invited to the Forum to provide input on future growth in the community. Attendees will engage in a brainstorming workshop focused on making Junction City and Geary County a better, brighter, more lovable place. Two proposed projects will be awarded a $500 grant.

The Event is free to all Geary County residents but is limited to 200 people. You can register by visiting the “Junction City Main Street” Facebook page or by going to junctioncitymainstreet.org.
