Manhattan Regional Airport will resume commercial air service on Monday, September 25th, 2023. The first return flight will be greeted with a water cannon salute from the Manhattan Fire Department at about 11:45 a.m. as it pulls into the jet bridge at the terminal.
The four-phase construction project began in September 2022, and the airline was originally supposed to return on September 6th. Due to construction delays the deadline was pushed back. In recognition of the 25-day delay, the airport is providing 25 days of free parking.
