Missoula Children’s Theatre to Bring “Robin Hood” to Brown Grand Opera House

By Ryan Duey

The Brown Grand Opera House in Concordia will host the Missoula Children’s Theatre from July 22nd to the 27th. Throughout the week area children will rehearse and prepare a musical performance, capping the week off with a live show on Saturday, July 27th at 3:00 p.m. at the Opera House.

Melissa Swenson, Brown Grand Director, said Missoula Children’s Theater, based out of Missoula, Montana travels to different communities every week putting on performances.

Over 60 area children from Concordia, Belleville, Jamestown, Cuba, Beloit, and Wichita will participate in the Program this year. Swenson said it’s very unique that 2 teachers at Missoula can teach 64 children an entire show in a week.

A Grant from The Community Foundation of Cloud County made this possible, Swenson said. The community is encouraged to attend the Live Performance on Saturday to support the area children. Tickets will be available at the door, with free admission for children 10 and under.
