Geary County Emergency Management announced that the West Rolling Hills area at Milford Lake just received an Outdoor Warning Siren for severe weather. Geary County Emergency Management said that they were able to secure funding for the siren through the County.

The siren is located in the Thunderbird Marina area and will also serve the housing development to the south of the marina along K-244 Hwy. With the addition of this outdoor warning siren, all camping areas at Milford Lake and the neighboring housing areas are covered by an outdoor warning siren.

Blue Valley Public Safety installed the siren and wooden pole on Thursday.
