Providence Medical Center to Cease Labor and Delivery Services Amid Decade-Long Decline in Patient Numbers

By Trish Svoboda

Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, announced that they will no longer offer Labor and Delivery services due to the consistent drop in labor and delivery patients over the past decade. This will go into effect June 30, 2024.

They said they are actively seeking collaborations with various hospitals and clinics across the Kansas City metropolitan area to ensure a seamless transition for the community. In addition, they stated that they are committed to their patients and will not only continue but also enhance their gynecological services at their Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS location to cater to patient needs.

Providence Medical Center thanks its staff and the community partners that worked to provide healthcare services in Labor and Delivery in Wyandotte County and other area counties for over a century.
