Republic County EMS Holding CPR/AED Classes Throughout the County

By Ryan Duey

The Republic County Hospital and Republic County EMS received a grant to place AEDs throughout the County. With the new devices being placed in towns around the County EMS decided to hold an Event in each community teaching Hands-only CPR and proper use of an AED.

Throughout March members of the EMS will be traveling to local communities to put on informative classes. Levi Whitley, Republic County EMS Director, says they want to teach this class so they’re not just sticking AEDs in the community with no one knowing how to use them.

This is the first year Republic County has offered CPR and AED classes to the Community, but hope to continue this in the future.

Whitley did note that these are informational classes only, and no certification is given. You can find the day and time of a class near you, along with the AED location by checking out the flyer on our website or the Republic County EMS Facebook page.
