Secretary Scott Schwab Unveils Enhanced Online Software for Kansas Businesses

By Trish Svoboda

Secretary of State Scott Schwab has announced the launch of a new and enhanced online software system available on the Secretary of State’s website. This introduction marks the beginning of a new era of increased efficiency and accessibility for Kansas business owners.

The agency transitioned from an AS400 system, utilized since 1986, which proved challenging to operate and maintain. This outdated system significantly impeded the agency’s capacity to serve the public effectively.

“This new software offers Kansans a reliable and secure platform designed to simplify their interaction with the state,” Schwab said. “I’m pleased to provide a newer and better service for Kansas businesses.”

During the last five years, Secretary Schwab’s administration has prioritized modernizing the computer environment and offering additional tools and resources for Kansans. For Kansas business owners, the new software provides a more intuitive user experience, quicker response times, immediate website updates, and new online features. Kansans now have a more secure system for filing their business information reports online.
