Steve Frost has been selected as the executive director for the KDA Division of Conservation, a collaboration between the Kansas Department of Agriculture and the State Conservation Commission. The KDA–DOC is dedicated to safeguarding and improving Kansas’ natural resources by managing programs that promote water conservation, water quality, land reclamation, and watershed management.
Frost has had experience in public service for four decades, covering roles in local government and state agencies, mostly in the realm of water resources and conservation. His extensive background includes 17 years at KDA–DOC, where he focused on water conservation programs and provided oversight for conservation and watershed districts. Frost also served as the executive director of the Southwest Kansas Groundwater Management District for nine years and contributed to the Bureau of Water at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
