On Monday, April 15, Governor Laura Kelly visited Tank Connection in Parsons to formally recognize the company as the recipient of the 2023 Governor’s Exporter of the Year award. Tank Connection, known worldwide for its dry bulk and liquid storage systems, exports its products to 64 countries on six continents.

The Governor’s Exporter of the Year Award stands as the top export business honor given by the State of Kansas. Tank Connection earned this recognition last October at the “To The Stars: Kansas Business Awards” banquet hosted by the Kansas Department of Commerce in Wichita.

As an employee-owned company with 350 staff members globally, Tank Connection has emerged as a leading supplier of aluminum dome covers and composite pedestal storage designs.

Tank Connection has erected the world’s tallest bolted steel storage silos, serving as repositories for sugar in Maryland. In addition, the company has constructed the planet’s largest bolted potable water tank and dome in Mexico City, an accomplishment credited with providing approximately 13 million gallons of drinking water to over 7 million individuals. Tank Connection is also actively engaged in collaborating with a community in Sri Lanka on the construction of its first water treatment tank.
