This past Saturday, October 21st, two men, aged 70 and 88, were involved in a motorized paraglider crash-landing near Tuttle Creek State Park. The pair were heading north out of Manhattan at 8:30am when the aircraft’s engine suddenly failed. The Riley County Police Department and Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks arrived on the scene shortly after and transported the two men to a local hospital with serious injuries. It has not been reported if the injuries sustained were life threatening.
