Valor Honey To Help Afghan Refugees Through Beekeeping

By Ryan Duey

Valor Honey out of Manhattan is collaborating with the Manhattan Area Resettlement Team (MART) to launch a Honeybee Refugee Employability and Mental Health Program, designed to help integrate Afghan refugees into the community through beekeeping.

Gary LaGrange, CEO of Valor Honey, gave us some details on how this collaboration with MART got started.

There are different ways to buy honey from Valor Honey, with proceeds going right back into the program to help veterans and refugees.

Gary added that Valor Honey has also teamed up with Kansas State to help educate and grow the beekeeping industry.

Valor Honey has been helping our veterans for 12 years now and is expanding to help others. Visit their website to read more about this great program.
