The Clay County YLinK, or Youth Leaders in Kansas, chapters have recently received recognition from several Kansas Government Agencies for their advocacy work on youth mental health.

Lori Martin of the Clay County YLinK chapters said because of this recognition, a small group of students have been invited to speak to several Kansas Government Agencies several times in the coming months.

Those speaking engagements include speaking to Officials at the Youth Mental Health Advocacy Day on March 7th, the Governor’s Behavioral Health Conference on March 19th, and the Kansas State Board of Education on April 12th.

Martin said several representatives of the Kansas State Government will listen to the Clay County YLinK representatives during these meetings and plan to use their advice to guide future policy decisions.
