Kansas State University is inviting high school students interested in the livestock industry and related careers to apply for the 15th annual Animal Sciences Leadership Academy. Hosted by K-State’s Department of Animal Sciences and Industry from June 5-8 in Manhattan, the four-day academy focuses on boosting leadership skills and animal science knowledge for students in grades 9-12.

The program, sponsored by the Livestock and Meat Industry Council, includes workshops, tours, and faculty mentorship with animal science professors. Industry leaders will share insights, and participants will collaborate on evaluating current events in the animal science industry, concluding with team presentations.

The Academy is limited to 20 students to ensure personalized attention, the academy requires a $50 reservation fee upon acceptance, with transportation to and from the event covered by participants. Applications are due by April 15th and are available at asi.ksu.edu/KASLA.
