On January 31st, 2024, USD 379 announced Steven Kimmi was selected to become Lincoln Elementary’s new Principal.

Kimmi says he originally went to college to do theater but later switched to education. He has 11 years of experience in education and has served in a wide range of roles with several school districts in the area.

Kimmi said he applied for the position to challenge himself and to have a larger impact on his community.

In his spare time, Kimmi makes TikToks under his handle Steven Kimmi, Midwest Explorer, and shares about the beauty of Kansas nature.

Since then, Kimmi has traveled to many places around Kansas and has built a significant following on social media along the way.

Steven Kimmi will officially take over as Principal of Lincoln Elementary at the start of the 2024-2025 school year. He said he looks forward to the challenges his new position will bring and is excited to get involved in the Clay Center community.
