Cincinnati ties the series with K-State in a back-and-forth battle at Tointon Family Stadium. Four Bearcats drove in two runs each, securing an 11-7 win over the Wildcats. K-State rallied from a four-run deficit to briefly take the lead in the fourth inning, but Cincinnati’s bullpen shut them down for the remainder of the game. Head coach Pete Hughes emphasized the importance of playing with a lead at home. Despite the loss, Hughes expressed confidence in his team’s resilience. Left-hander Adam Arther took the loss, while Ryan Insco earned the win in relief for Cincinnati. The rubber match is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. at Tointon Family Stadium.
