K-State’s Jacob Frost named Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week, achieving ninth no-hitter with Jackson Wentworth. Frost, a St. Louis junior transfer, joins Brady Day as second Wildcat to earn weekly Big 12 honors. Pair’s no-hitter, the program’s second combined in 124-year history, shuts out Cincinnati 4-0, marking first Big 12 series win since 2013. Frost retires 21 of 25 batters, yielding two walks and four strikeouts in seven innings, securing second victory this season. Only three runners reach scoring position with Frost pitching. Friday’s no-hitter, K-State’s first in Big 12 play, marks 20th in Big 12 history and eighth combined. K-State faces South Dakota State Wednesday at Tointon Family Stadium.
