The Milford Nature Center will host a Free Fishing Clinic on Saturday, June 1st from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Gathering Pond in the Outlet Park below the Milford Lake Dam off Highway 57. This Clinic is for children aged 5 to 13.
Pat Silovsky, Milford Nature Center Director, said this coincides with Kansas’s Free Fishing Weekend.
Silovsky said there will be signs to lead you to the correct area of the Gathering Pond. This is a great opportunity for children to learn the skill of fishing.
No registration is required, attendees can just show up during the listed time to fish. Children do need to be accompanied by an adult. For more information call the Milford Nature Center or visit their Facebook page.
