The Special Olympics Torch Run will be on May 30, 2024. The RCPD team will meet with Pott County at Sherwin Williams at 10:30 am to receive the torch. There will not be a run across the entire jurisdiction this year.

The RCPD team will then meet at the Ogden Community Center with Special Olympics athletes at 12:30 pm. The team will start the run at 12:40 pm from the Ogden Community Center to the Ft. Riley Ogden gate to pass on the torch to Ft. Riley MPs.

The team will then run back to the community center to enjoy ice cream sandwiches from the RCPD food trailer. Community members can enjoy ice cream sandwiches after the team has run past the community center.
