The Wakefield Jets varsity volleyball team traveled to Canton-Galva on Thursday, Sept. 5th, but fell in two sets, 10-25 and 8-25. The team was made up of Lorelei Uken, Bailee Avery, Zailey True, Avaya Reamer, Laken Smith, and Allysen Thomas, with Macie Nix subbing in both sets. Lorelei Uken served 4 for 4 and passed at 75%, while Bailee Avery and Avaya Reamer each went 3 for 3 serving.

The JV team also lost in two sets, 8-25 and 5-25. Hailey Smith, Aubree Gibson, Aubrey DeMaroney, Brooke Moenning, Aria Gonzalez, Katie Crerend, and Macie Nix made up the roster. Hailey Smith served 3 for 3, and Macie Nix passed at 60%.

The Jets will travel to Clay Center on Tuesday, Sept. 10th, for their next match. On Thursday, Sept. 12th, they will host Peabody-Burns at 4:30 p.m.
