Kansas State junior guard P.J. Haggerty was named to the 10-member Preseason All-Big 12 Team, the conference announced Thursday. He is one of three newcomers selected, joining BYU’s AJ Dybantsa and Kansas’ Darryn Peterson.
Haggerty transferred from Memphis, where he earned AAC Player of the Year honors and was a consensus Second Team All-American. Last season, he became the first Division I player since Ja Morant in 2018-19 to average at least 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
K-State was picked ninth in the Big 12 preseason poll, while Houston, BYU and Texas Tech claimed the top three spots. Haggerty is the ninth Wildcat in program history to earn preseason all-conference recognition and the first since Coleman Hawkins in 2024.
The Wildcats open the season Nov. 4 against UNC Greensboro.
