Deanna June Barnes, age 79 of Olsburg, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.
She was born on June 17, 1943 in Westmoreland, the daughter of J. Dennis and Eva LaVetta (Webster) Holt.
On September 10, 1960, she married Keith Roblyer and they had two sons, Monty and Todd. They later divorced.
She married Ed Barnes on November 17, 1988. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Deanna worked as a groundskeeper for the state of Kansas and was a fanatic KU fan. She was involved in agriculture her entire life. Her and Ed owned and operated E&D Quarter Horses. She loved watching her great grandson play sports and spending time with all of her family and friends. Deanna was a member of the Olsburg Lutheran Church and Olsburg Pride.
She is survived by her two sons, Monty Roblyer and wife Patti of Olsburg and Todd Roblyer and wife Marti of Olsburg; two granddaughters, Brandi Innes and husband Tim of Olsburg and Dee J Mengel and husband Brandon of Olsburg; one great grandson, Caleb Innes; two step daughters, Julie and Cindy, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Ed, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Darlene Marceron.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Olsburg Lutheran Church with Rev. Kaylie Ines officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mariadahl Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Valley Foundation to go towards the building of the baseball and softball complex. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
