Obituary-Carl West

Carl West, age 58, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 at the KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.  He was born on August 10, 1964 in Salina, Kansas to Raymond C. and Sally K. (Jackson) West.

In his youth Carl attended school in Salina, Kansas and after moving to Clay Center he attended Clay Center Schools.

Carl was a cook in the cafeteria for Mount Joseph Senior Village for 20 years, serving great food for the residents.  Carl also worked as a Cook for Bobbie and Dots and the Thunderbird Motor Inn both of Concordia for many years.

He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.  Most of all Carl enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by many.

Carl is survived three sisters, Annie Desmarais (Dave), Clay Center, KS; Marie White (Jim), Concordia, KS; Christine Hartley (Don), Clay Center, KS; three brothers, Robert Jordan (Patty), Kokomo, IN; Jeff West (Leslie), Indianapolis, IN; Mike West of Concordia, KS; The staff and residents at Mt. Joseph Senior Village, best friend, Vonda Clemons, Concordia, KS; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Sally, brothers, Jerry Jordan, David West, Nelson Johnson, Charles Nash, Ray Nash, Everett West.

Carl’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later time.
