K-State to Present Local Food Producer Workshop in Clay Center

By Ryan Duey

The K-State Research and Extension’s River Valley District will be hosting a local food producer workshop in Clay Center on February 9th for farmers, businesses, and individuals who produce and sell food in their local Communities.

We spoke with Kaitlin Moore, Food Safety & Health Agent for the River Valley District, about this upcoming Event.

While the workshop will be a Virtual Watch Party participants will still get to interact and ask questions live just the same as if they were in person, but with the added benefit of collaborating with local peers. Kaitlin details how you can attend.

Kaitlin added that there will be multiple different topics with speakers from the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Health, and others.

If you’d like more information reach out to Kaitlin Moore or Karra James by calling your local extension office.
