Kansas State University Experts Offer High-Yield Wheat Solutions through Kansas Wheat Rx Program and Seminars

Kansas wheat producers will be able to benefit from the expertise of Kansas State University who offer prescriptions for high-yielding and high-quality wheat production.

Kansas Wheat Rx combines recommended management practices for the economical and sustainable production of high-quality winter wheat in Kansas. Two seminars in Dodge City and Wichita will cover topics such as cover crops, soil health, wheat’s role in cropping systems, soil fertility, fungicides, and wheat production economics. The sessions are eligible for certified crop advisor (CCA) continuing education units (CEUs).

Aaron Harries, vice president of research and operations for Kansas Wheat, emphasizes the significance of equipping wheat producers with knowledge to optimize profitability through new variety genetic potential and best management practices, acknowledging the impact of weather variability.
