A Meet and Greet is Scheduled for Three Marysville City Administrator Candidates

By Ryan Duey

A meet-and-greet event for three Marysville city administrator candidates is set for February 28th at the Lee Dam Center for Fine Art, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

City Council members will interview candidates on February 29th, with tours arranged during their stay. A special council meeting on the same day will address the interviews. Candidate names and bios will be released on February 27th.

Interim City Administrator Jeff Pederson highlighted logistical challenges in scheduling interviews and maintaining candidate anonymity. Mayor Todd Frye expressed gratitude for Pederson’s contributions and discussed potential interim solutions until a permanent administrator is appointed. Pederson, citing health reasons, will step down after 14 weeks in the position. Frye did leave the door open for Pederson to work with the city on a contractual basis in the future.

Strategic Government Resources from Keller, Texas, is aiding the city in the administrator search. SG personnel marketed the administrator position opening and helped screen applicants.
