The Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force selects schools in Kansas to receive “The Challenge Award” based on criteria met from the previous school years. That includes outstanding achievement, uncommon accomplishments on assessment results in math and reading, chronic absenteeism and graduation rates, and the socio-economic status of those students taking the test.

This year, the Confidence in Public Education Task Force selected 97 schools in the state of Kansas to receive the 2023 Challenge Award. Two of the schools awarded were Glasco Elementary School and Concordia Middle School.
