Local Students Rewarded as “Good Citizens” of 2024

The Nathan Edson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Concordia & Clay Center announced its Good Citizenship recipients and the scholarship essay winner for 2024.

The students who were chosen as Good Citizens are:

· Carlie Carlgren of Concordia High School

· Skylar Kahrs of Clifton-Clyde High School

· Sarabeth Martin of Clay Center Community High School

· Mason Knudson of Glasco High School

· Georgia Rolph of Miltonvale High School

The award recognized and rewarded individuals who possessed good citizenship qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. These students were selected by their counselors because they demonstrated these qualities to an outstanding degree.

The scholarship winner for 2024 was Sarabeth Martin of Clay Center High School. Along with the certificate and pin, Sarabeth also a received monetary award for winning the scholarship. Sarabeth’s essay has been sent on to the state level of participation.
