According to the Saline County Kansas Facebook page, an evacuation notice has been issued for everyone within two miles of Hohneck and Watkins Roads. It is stressed that if you are in this area you are to evacuate immediately and avoid the area.

The post states that there is low to no visibility because of smoke in the area of I-70 west of I-35. It is advised drivers avoid the interstate and take alternate routes if traveling. Air Support is en route.

A fire started on the south side of I-70 between Muir and Headville Rd. and crossed the interstate and burning north toward Culver, which prompted the evacuation
