By Ryan Duey

Amanda Fitzgeralds, Program Director at Memorial Health System’s Senior Life Solutions has been named the 2023 Program Director of the Year, by Psychiatric Medical Care, which manages the program.

Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC) partners with more than 250 hospitals and health systems across the country to provide behavioral healthcare services. Top-performing employees and Senior Life Solutions programs are recognized annually based on their excellence in demonstrating PMC’s values of care, compliance, and community. Award recipients were chosen for providing outstanding patient care, excellent comprehension and execution of compliance regulations, and strong community engagement.

“I am honored to receive this award. We have an amazing team here in Abilene that includes our Therapist, Jennifer Wolf, and Patient Coordinator and RN, Holly Holt, and me. Without them, we would not have the outstanding program that we do today. I have been with Senior Life Solutions as the Program Director for just a little over two years and we have grown the program significantly. It has been so good for my nurse soul to be able to provide great care for our patients and to watch them make positive progress in their lives. I became a nurse to be able to help people and this has allowed me to do that and so much more. I truly love what I do and the people that I work with,” said Fitzgeralds.

Memorial Health System’s Senior Life Solutions program supports the unique needs of individuals, typically 65 and older, experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, and other mental health challenges that are often associated with aging.
