The RCPD Life Saving Award was bestowed upon Corrections Lieutenant Freidline, and Corrections Officers Flores and Zoeller, with the RCPD Certificate of Appreciation presented to Corrections Officer Bolton. Their commendable response during an inmate’s suicide attempt in September 2022 earned them this recognition.

Director Peete expressed deep respect for their dedication, stating, “I have a great amount of pride and respect for the men and women that do this very difficult job.” He acknowledged the officers’ unwavering commitment and cited the incident as a testament to their resilience.

These officers’ quick and resolute actions directly saved a life, underscoring their embodiment of law enforcement’s highest principles. Their bravery in confronting adversity stands as a model for all.
