Community Members Invited to join Clay County Medical Center, Senior Life Solutions for Mental Health Awareness Month Open house

Clay Center, KS – May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Senior Life Solutions is raising awareness about mental health by hosting an open house. This event will take place at 711 Liberty Street on May 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Mental Health Month was developed to help educate Americans about mental illness and mental health. Each year, organizations and programs across the country come together to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, help improve access to care, educate communities on signs and symptoms, and highlight the progress being made in mental health.

“Mental Health Awareness Month is such a great opportunity to remind people that their mental health matters”, says Senior Life Solutions, Beth Larson, Registered Nurse Program Director. “Mental health is no different than physical health, and through education and starting conversations, we are helping to break down the stigma.”

Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about mental health, play games, and connect with others in the community.
