Earlier this morning, local sheriffs and area residents gathered at Java Junkies in Clay Center to honor four deputies for outstanding performance of duties.
Sheriff Alan Benninga and Chief Bill Robinson presented awards to the deputies being recognized for going above and beyond to serve the community.
While presenting, Benninga stated how the actions of these deputies help the community as a whole.
“I’m proud of the deputies’ actions and very pleased the off-duty officers responded in a timely manner,” he said.
The four law enforcement officials being honored (pictured left to right), include: Deputy Luke Deneke, Officer Justin Burwell, Deputy Paul Tessaro and Dispatcher Krista Bowser for going above and beyond to serve the community.
“It’s an honor to serve the citizens of Clay County,” said Krista Bowser.
